About Me

My photo
Colette Copeland
is a multi-media visual artist, professor, art and culture critic/writer based in Dallas. As a child, she heard tales of her maternal grandmother's family--the James' including blood ties to the bandit outlaw Jesse James. Researching the genealogy, she discovered her great great grandmother was married to Jesse James 1st cousin--William Henry James "Billy". Embarking upon a performative journey, Copeland visited and filmed at the sites where Jesse James lived & outlawed. To see her work, visit: www.colettecopeland.com
